The natural heritage of the Marche is impressive: two national parks (Monti Sibillini and Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga), four regional parks (Monte Conero, Sasso Simone and Simoncello, Monte San Bartolo and Gola della Rossa and Frasassi), along with six reserves natural (Abbadia di Fiastra, Torricchio Mountain, Ripa Bianca, Sentina, Gola del Furlo and Monte San Vicino and Monte Canfaito) and much more.
The mountains of the Marche and their streams are a wonderful opportunity to practice all winter sports, mountaineering and hiking on snow, or canoeing, kayaking, rafting, free flight, caving and canyoning.
However, the nature of the Marche region also offers ample space for cycle tourism, golf, horse riding, or – going down towards the coast – to sailing.
